Life on the Farm
Larks Meadow Farm is a sixth-generation family farm run by John, Sally and Harriet, caring for 300 acres of permanent pasture just outside Shipston-on-Stour. Established in 2009 as a smallholding, the farm has grown steadily while remaining committed to producing quality food with a low environmental impact.
Our farm is home to 340 British breed ewes, 700 free-range hens, a rolling stock of Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs and a herd of 25 pedigree Hereford and Hereford-cross suckler cows. At the heart of the herd is Norman, our pedigree Hereford bull, alongside Toby Jack, our pedigree Aberdeen Angus bull.
We believe that great food starts with healthy animals and healthy grassland. That's why we're working towards a fully grass-fed, native breed system using regenerative farming practices that improve soil health, encourage biodiversity and reduce our reliance on imported feeds.
Our aim is simple: to be a trusted local farm producing exceptional lamb, beef, pork and eggs from animals that have enjoyed a natural, free-range life. By combining generations of farming knowledge with a commitment to sustainable farming, we're building a future that is good for the land, good for our animals and good for our local community.
Whether you're visiting the farm shop, collecting fresh eggs or joining us for one of our seasonal events, you'll always receive a warm welcome at Larks Meadow Farm.
